Details:
Lead Data Governance Analyst
Duration: 12+ months
Location: Rensselaer, NY (100% On Site)

This is a unique opportunity to join a select team that is leading the way in Data Governance in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech Industry. We are looking for a Lead Data Governance Analyst to support our client's data and compliance areas by analyzing, improving, and monitoring data quality within the organization. This role will contribute to the evolution of the data governance program and will serve as an important function in a Center of Excellence business model.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the selection, configuration, and implementation of data quality tools using best practices to monitor and improve quality of data throughout the data life cycle.
  • Lead process design and improvements which increase the validity of the data used by the business to make important decisions.
  • Leverage expertise in enterprise data architectures and quality management fundamentals to drive continuous improvement in data quality program and processes.
  • Work as part of the data governance team to ensure alignment between data quality initiatives and the overall data governance framework.
  • Collaborate with the SMEs and Data Stewards on areas for data quality improvements.
  • Establish and maintain data quality dashboards and reports to monitor progress, trends, and compliance with data quality objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy and content of master data in key systems.
  • Develop and document data quality processes with functional data owners.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience in data analysis and/or computer science or related field.
  • 1-2 yrs experience in Pharma/ Biotech industry.
  • Experience working with relational databases, data warehouses and other relevant systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing data quality tools, processes, and frameworks.
  • Experience with Master Data Management techniques and tools.
  • Adept at building strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent Communications skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Data Management, computer science or related field.
