Job Summary
ATG is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure & Citrix Systems Administrator to support the Navy Maritime Maintenance Enterprise Solution (NMMES). This cloud-based software solution tracks, manages, schedules, and reports on critical maintenance and repairs for the US Naval Fleet across major national shipyards.
In this role, you will take ownership of a mission-critical infrastructure composed of web applications, AWS cloud architecture, and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) supporting over 1,500 active sessions daily. Because your work directly impacts fleet readiness, these platforms demand a 24/7/365 operational posture with a target of 100% uptime.
Key Responsibilities * Infrastructure Lifecycle: Install, configure, optimize, and maintain Citrix CVAD environments (focusing on versions 1912, 2402, and 2507) along with cloud resources within Amazon Web Services (AWS). * Tier 3 Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and resolve complex session startup errors, performance degradation, and infrastructure bottlenecks utilizing deep knowledge of the OSI model. * Component Mastery: Manage and fine-tune core Citrix architecture components, including Delivery Controllers (DDC), StoreFront (SF), Workspace Environment Management (WEM), and Virtual Delivery Agents (VDA/VDI). * Cybersecurity Compliance: Drive quarterly Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance through proactive vulnerability scanning, aggressive risk mitigation, and robust technical reporting. * Automation & Scripting: Develop and run PowerShell scripts to automate infrastructure tasks, reduce resolution time, and improve overall system availability. * ITSM & Communication: Manage the operational lifecycle of tickets inside ServiceNow, accurately documenting Incidents (Inc), Knowledge Base entries (KB), Problem Cases (PB), and Change Requests (CR). * On-Call Operations: Participate in a structured team on-call rotation requiring an aggressive 15-minute response time on task. Represent the engineering team on critical incident bridge calls with Government Command Centers and end-users. * Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks. * May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. * May lead and direct the work of others. * Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. * Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. * Conducts capacity and performance analysis and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. * Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administration procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. Qualifications: Required: * Experience:  At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoW/Navy programs. * Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.  * Requires US Citizenship * Required Security Clearance: Secret.   An active Interim Secret clearance is acceptable for onboarding on day one. * Location: Must be local to Norfolk, VA, and available for 100% onsite attendance. * DoD Compliance: Ability to achieve 100% compliance with DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program (CWQP) credentials within a six (6) month grace period from hire. * Certifications: Must have and maintain active technical certifications relevant to the stack (e.g., Citrix CCA-V/CCP-V, AWS SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified Server Administrator). Desired: * 4+ years of direct, hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Citrix CVAD platforms. * Advanced fluency with PowerShell for server management, tasks automation, and tool deployment. * Demonstrable experience troubleshooting Citrix Session Launch sequences and deep network pathing. * High familiarity utilizing ServiceNow for Enterprise IT service request tracking and change control. * Prior experience working within a military command center structure or supporting US Navy software modernization initiatives.
