Daikin Applied is seeking a Program Manager. The Program Manager will lead Programs and Projects within the Engineering Program Management Department focused on new product development. Additionally, they will support and execute strategic initiatives and programs to drive improvements in speed of innovation and Engineering effectiveness and productivity that will achieve Daikin's Product Roadmaps and profitability goals. Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead new Product Development Engineering teams and collaborate with multiple functions to define, develop, and deploy strategic initiatives and/or product roadmaps that maximize the value of the business and profitability of new products

  • Work closely with business leaders to plan future project implementation schedules, define projects/programs, manage the portfolio of projects/programs, and provide input on overall strategy

  • Define, maintain, and monitor program and project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Focus efforts to meet the strategic goals and the program's specific tactical goals

  • Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters

  • Ensure functional commitments are achieved with a strong understanding of Product Development Engineering deliverables within agreed-on time, cost, and quality parameters. Understand Key Engineering Product Requirements and Deliverables: PVSR, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R

  • Successfully manage relationships with key stakeholders

  • Provide a centralized, single point of contact for the programs and projects they manage

  • Validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

  • Resolve problems in assigned programs using innovative solutions and interface with others in the company, report and escalate to executive management as needed

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities as appropriate, identify and resolve conflicts, manage project dependencies and constraints, and develop contingency plans where required

  • Prepare and present reports periodically on the status of assigned programs and projects

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 6+ years of relevant experience

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience

  • Microsoft Project experience

  • Moderate to Highly Competent in:

    • Engineering management experience
