Job description

Jove is looking for a highly technical, Technical Solutions Lead to join our Technical Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, and helping customers successfully navigate technical changes.

You will lead data and document migrations, troubleshoot advanced technical issues, support APIs and integrations, and manage special customer projects such as domain migrations, feature transitions, and the launch of integrations like QuickBooks and OneDrive.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, QA, Implementation, and Customer Success. While you may work directly with customers on technical projects, this is not an account management or business workflow consulting role.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead data and document migrations, including extraction, transformation, mapping, loading, and validation.
  • Write SQL queries and scripts to investigate issues, correct data, and support migrations.
  • Safely complete approved production data updates and corrections using established review and change-control processes.
  • Use Python or similar scripting languages to automate tasks, manipulate data, and improve migration processes.
  • Serve as a Tier 3 technical escalation resource for complex product, data, document, API, and integration issues.
  • Reproduce bugs, investigate root causes, and work with Engineering and QA to test and validate solutions.
  • Assist customers and partners with API authentication, data mapping, payloads, errors, and integration testing.
  • Support the implementation of integrations such as QuickBooks, OneDrive, and other third-party platforms.
  • Manage special technical projects, including domain or URL changes, legacy feature migrations, and complex system configurations.
  • Create clear technical documentation, reusable scripts, migration tools, and troubleshooting resources.
  • Provide Product and Engineering with insight into recurring customer issues and opportunities to improve the platform.
What Youโ€™ll Bring
  • Five or more years of experience in solutions engineering, technical services, data migration, implementation engineering, application support, or a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with data migration and ETL processes.
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, troubleshooting, optimization, and production data updates.
  • Experience using Python or a similar language for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
  • Experience troubleshooting data quality issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data mapping, and database design.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, authentication, webhooks, logs, and system integrations.
  • Experience migrating documents, file metadata, and large data sets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with SaaS, legal technology, case management, CRM, or another data-intensive platform.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Power BI.
  • Experience supporting accounting integrations such as QuickBooks.
  • Experience assisting with QA, release validation, or automated testing.
  • Experience building internal migration, monitoring, or support tools.
How This Role Fits at Jove

The Technical Solutions Lead owns the technical execution of complex customer needs, including migrations, integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and specialized technical projects.

Customer Success will continue to own the overall customer relationship, adoption strategy, business consultation, and workflow recommendations. This role joins those conversations when deep technical expertise is needed.

What Success Looks Like
  • Accurate and efficient data and document migrations.
  • Faster resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Successful API and integration launches.
  • Clear, actionable technical escalations for Engineering.
  • Reliable execution of customer technical projects.
  • Fewer recurring issues through better tools, processes, and documentation.
  • Strong collaboration across Technical Services, Engineering, Product, QA, Implementation, and Customer Success.
