Location: Massachusetts, Maine, or New Jersey (based out of any Hayes Pump office)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Classification: Exempt
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving customer challenges, working in a technical sales environment, and building strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative serves as a primary point of contact for customers, providing sales support, product recommendations, pricing, and order management for pumping equipment and replacement parts. This individual will leverage product knowledge and strong communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities to support customer needs and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations for pumps, replacement equipment, and related parts.
  • Assist customers with product selection, sourcing, pricing, and technical inquiries.
  • Process customer orders and ensure accurate entry into company systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times.
  • Expedite orders and proactively communicate order status updates to customers.
  • Utilize company software systems to organize workflow, manage priorities, and maintain customer information.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through responsiveness, product knowledge, and problem-solving.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities within existing accounts and communicate growth opportunities to management.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to support company objectives and customer success.

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of customer service, inside sales, technical sales, or related experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
