Job description

The S/4HANA Customer Management (CM) & Sales and Distribution (SD) Team Member supports the implementation, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of SAP S/4HANA Customer Management and Sales and Distribution capabilities.

This role contributes to the end-to-end migration of legacy SAP CRM functionality into an S/4HANA environment. The position works closely with lead consultants, business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to help maintain and improve customer, provider, ordering, sales, service, inventory, returns, and related business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and support S/4HANA CM and SD functionality based on approved business requirements and process designs.
  • Participate in business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution validation.
  • Support the migration of CRM capabilities into embedded S/4HANA Customer Management while preserving essential business functionality.
  • Assist with configuration of sales, service, customer or provider master data, business partner information, ordering, returns, and related processes.
  • Support process automation and recommend opportunities to reduce manual steps, improve data quality, and streamline transaction processing.
  • Assist with Fiori application and user-experience validation, including identifying usability issues and documenting required changes.
  • Develop, execute, and document unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and simple integration problems between Sales, Finance, CRM/CM, and related SAP components.
  • Support defect investigation, resolution validation, retesting, and communication of issue status to the lead consultant and project stakeholders.
  • Assist with data cleansing, mapping, validation, conversion, and master data management activities.
  • Support cutover planning and execution, including data readiness checks, configuration validation, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Maintain clear functional documentation, test scripts, process materials, status updates, and knowledge-transfer content.
  • Coordinate with technical, development, integration, security, testing, and organizational change management teams as needed.
  • Provide ongoing application support, enhancements, and knowledge transfer after implementation.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA Customer Management, SAP CRM, SAP SD, or a related business-process role.
  • Basic understanding of the CRM lifecycle, sales processes, and navigation within an S/4HANA environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP business partners, customer or provider master data, sales orders, returns, pricing, and related transaction flows.
  • Experience participating in SAP configuration, business analysis, testing, production support, or implementation activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot simple integration issues between Sales and Finance.
  • Ability to explain technical and functional status updates clearly to a lead consultant, project manager, business stakeholder, or customer.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-team project environment.
  • Ability to document processes, test results, defects, decisions, and implementation activities accurately.
  • Must be US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting an SAP S/4HANA migration, upgrade, or embedded CRM implementation.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, S/4HANA SD, SAP CRM, Customer Management, or related sales and service applications.
  • Familiarity with business partner conversion, customer-vendor integration, master data cleansing, or data migration.
  • Experience with integration testing involving Finance, Materials Management, inventory, EDI, APIs, or other connected systems.
  • Experience supporting cutover rehearsals, go-live preparation, hypercare, or post-implementation support.
  • SAP certification or relevant formal training is a plus.
