Job description

Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Head of Transportation & Logistics who will own the end-to-end commercial success of Geotab's Transportation & Logistics market segment - accountable for segment revenue attainment and growth, product and go-to-market strategy across one of Geotab's largest and most strategically significant market segments, encompassing commercial fleet operators, truckload carriers, freight and logistics companies, and private fleets across North America. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Head of Transportation & Logistics your key area of responsibility will be developing and executing the product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market to enable successful commercial execution for the T&L segment. You will be responsible for owning the segment's revenue attainment and growth, making principled build/buy/partner decisions, identifying gaps in Geotab's current solutions for the segment, and defining packaging, pricing, and positioning strategies that make Geotab's capabilities compelling for T&L buyers across fleet size tiers - from large enterprise fleets to mid-market carriers and small fleet operators. You will need to work closely with Geotab's solution domain leads, platform domain leads, peer segment leads, sales, marketing, engineering, and channel partners.

To be successful in this role you will be a strategic leader with deep commercial acumen, strong executive presence, and the ability to operate with clarity at the intersection of market strategy, customer experience, and product capability. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical and business performance skills with an ability to define and drive segment-specific revenue metrics, manage cross-functional teams, and translate board-level strategic direction into a coherent go-to-market execution plan with measurable results.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market to enable successful commercial execution for the T&L segment; accountable for the segment's primary business KPA including revenue attainment and segment growth.
  • Develop deep understanding of T&L customers - including truckload carriers, private fleet operators, logistics companies, and owner-operators - building and maintaining relationships with key customers, industry bodies, and channel partners.
  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, development, and performance management of a cross-functional T&L segment team including segment specialists, product leads, designers, and engineers.
  • Translate board-level strategic direction into a coherent T&L segment go-to-market plan and execution roadmap; operate as the commercial owner of the segment's outcomes, including investment portfolio management within approved parameters.
  • Define and measure segment-specific success metrics including revenue attainment, market share, win rate, and customer retention as primary success indicators.
  • Partner with solution and platform domain leads to identify capability gaps for the T&L segment, collaborate on segment-specific product requirements, and leverage Geotab's existing platform and solution building blocks.
  • Own T&L segment-specific compliance, regulatory, and certification requirements - including ELD mandate, FMCSA, CARB, and CSA standards - that affect Geotab's market access and competitive positioning.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • 10+ years of experience in a segment-focused commercial, product, or go-to-market role within the transportation, logistics, or fleet telematics industry.
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles with cross-functional commercial or product scope within a carrier, fleet operator, telematics provider, or freight technology company, including 3+ years with direct accountability for revenue or commercial outcomes within the T&L market.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or senior commercial and product leads.
  • Deep knowledge of the Transportation & Logistics market including commercial fleet operations, truckload carrier industry dynamics, freight market trends, regulatory environment (ELD mandate, FMCSA, CARB, CSA, DOT), and competitive dynamics within the fleet telematics industry.
  • Strong commercial and go-to-market acumen - ability to define packaging, pricing, and positioning strategies that drive T&L segment revenue and market share across enterprise, mid-market, and SMB fleet operators.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to build effective partnerships with solution teams, platform teams, channel partners, and executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be substituted.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
