Company Overview United Weld Holdings is a large-scale, industry-leading pipe fabrication company, headquarted in Baton Rouge, LA specializing in high-complexity piping spools and pipe supports for critical infrastructure projects. With multiple high production fabrication facilities with locations in Livingston, LA; San Marcos, TX; and Duluth, MN, with advanced welding and testing capabilities, and a reputation for critical path execution. We support major clients in the petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, power generation, and data center sectors across North America as well as internationally. Our continued growth has created an outstanding opportunity for a results-driven Business Development professional to further expand our market share.

Position Summary 

The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with EPC contractors, owner-operators, engineering firms and general contractors.  This is a high-impact, hunter-style role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively and independently identify and pursue new project opportunities in petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, power generation, advanced manufacturing, and hyperscale data center markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (procurement, engineering, construction, and project managers) at target accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client piping requirements, specifications, and project timelines to position the Company as the preferred fabrication partner.
  • Collaborate with internal estimating, engineering, and production teams to assist with accurate, competitive proposals and technical bids.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and successfully close fabrication projects and maintain relationships with clients throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage a robust sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasts, and meet or exceed annual revenue and margin targets.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging project opportunities using industry intelligence tools and relationships.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and client events.

Required Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of proven business development or technical sales experience specifically within pipe fabrication, industrial piping supply, or heavy mechanical construction preferred.

Ability to independently set up, schedule and attend meetings with clients in the petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, power, and or data center industry is required. 

Knowledge of piping materials, fabrication process, welding, codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, etc.) and project execution in heavy industrial environments required. 

Demonstrated desire of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and closing complex, high-value contracts required. 

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organization required.

 Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams required. 

Willingness and ability to travel extensively is required. 

Existing relationships with major EPCs and owner-operators in the target industries preferred. 

Knowledge of modularization and prefabrication trends preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, CRM Systems (Zoho) preferred.
