Job description

PURPOSE:

The International Customer Service Account Representative provides service to global companies. This role works alongside Sales, Pricing, Plant Personnel, Export Operations, and Global Trade and Compliance departments and interacts directly with international customers, freight forwarders, and carriers.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for timely and accurate order fulfillment from purchase order entry to receipt
  • Coordinate Letter of Credit and Proforma Invoices
  • Work with Calumet’s 3PL to arrange ocean and air freight to meet customer’s delivery needs, request bookings, and upload all pertinent documentation
  • Coordinate loading appointments for carriers at Calumet plants • Ensure that final shipping documents are received by the customer
  • Assist with customer inquiries on products, loading requirements, or freight quotes
  • Review orders for accuracy and release confirmations to the customer, freight forwarder or carrier, and plant personnel
  • Assist with Domestic accounts as assigned
  • Maintain document records and provide administrative assistance to the department as needed
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues for corrective and preventive action
  • Represent Calumet in a professional manner and create strong partnerships with customers through exemplary customer support
  • Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of related customer support experience required
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft office, ERP systems

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES:

  • Preferred international logistics experience
  • Prior experience with SAP system preferred
