Dent-Phelps R-III School District is seeking a dedicated 7th and 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking.
The successful candidate will plan and deliver instruction aligned to the Missouri Learning Standards, support students in analyzing literary and informational texts, provide explicit writing instruction, use assessment data to guide instruction, and participate in ongoing curriculum development. The teacher will create a positive classroom environment, communicate effectively with families, and work collaboratively with grade-level teams, intervention staff, and colleagues to support student growth and success.
Applicants must hold or be eligible for appropriate Missouri certification in English Language Arts. Experience with middle school students, data-driven instruction, collaboration, and curriculum development is preferred.
