Job Description:
Culinary Assistants are the ones who help make the magic happen. From assisting the Instructor to preparing the recipes and keeping the kitchen clean and organized, you will have a passion for making our guests smile and keeping everything running smoothly in our sparkling clean Kitchens.
Responsibilities:
  • Open availability is required, including nights and weekends. Taste Buds Kitchen hosts events 7 - days a week.
  • Assist the Instructor in creating amazing cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2- 99
  • Create a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for our guests
  • Setup before class including preparing ingredients, activities, and prebake as needed for a class
  • Assist the Instructor with engaging and teaching guests about various cooking/baking skills related to the class menu
  • Keep the kitchen running smoothly, sparkling clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after the class
  • Create a controlled safe, clean, friendly environment for all clients

Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment and move quickly
  • Natural curiosity and passion for food & culinary entertainment
  • Upbeat personality with a smile on your face a majority of the time.
  • Eagerness to get your hands dirty
  • Great communication skills with all ages
  • Confident with a range of cooking and baking techniques
  • At least one or more years of experience entertaining kids and/or adults
  • Relevant cooking/restaurant experience a plus
  • Formal teaching experience and training in education, childhood development, or related field a plus
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 45 pounds
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must enjoy the atmosphere of a small business

Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
