Customer Service - Pier Agent
Summary
Supports the guest arrival process by efficiently and proactively completing the guest check-in process, whether directly at the pier, at the airport, or other location as assigned. Warmly welcomes arriving guests, assists with citizenship and boarding documentation, enters required information into computerized check-in system, and assures transitional direction towards the next stage of arrival process. Will also assist with security and immigration identification confirmation match between photo ID, name as listed on manifest, and documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ll duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Intercruises brand standards. You are to always conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner with guests and colleagues.
  • rrive and proactively assure complete preparation of your work area prior to doors opening for embarkation.
  • Proactively confirm computer or mobile device/ iPad connectivity and applicable on-line / off-line computer status.
  • Utilize FIRST Customer Service standards in accordance with Intercruises brand guidelines.
  • Obtain and ensure validity of required proof of each guest's citizenship documentation. Ensure guest government issued photo ID matches the guest's face.
  • Verify the guest's name and stateroom number in the computer or mobile device.
  • Ensure all guest immigration information is correct in the computer/mobile device, completing any unpopulated areas. Use a passport scanner if available to update.
  • Offer solutions or recommendations to resolve any guest issues, which may have been brought to your attention during the check-in process and/or escalate concerns to your Supervisor/Manager as required to assure guest satisfaction.
  • Close each guest transaction warmly and thoroughly with "What Happens Next".
  • Other duties may be assigned
