Position Summary

The Culinary Operations Coordinator is a key member of the culinary leadership team, providing administrative and operational support for a high-volume, fast-paced food and beverage operation. This position is responsible for coordinating labor administration, scheduling, departmental communications, operational documentation, and day-to-day organizational initiatives that support the success of the culinary team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in an environment that demands accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional execution.

Essential Responsibilities

Culinary Operations
  • Support daily culinary operations through administrative leadership and operational coordination.
  • Assist culinary leadership with coaching, documentation, and departmental procedures.
  • Help maintain food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and operational standards.
  • Communicate purchasing needs and inventory concerns to minimize shortages and waste.
Labor & Scheduling Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee timekeeping and labor records while ensuring payroll information is current.
  • Coordinate monthly scheduling, employee availability, and labor planning to meet operational needs.
  • Prepare and distribute staff schedules while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor agreements.
  • Monitor labor reporting and assist culinary leadership with daily labor forecasting and budget tracking.
Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team.
  • Maintain department calendars, office organization, supplies, and operational filing systems.
  • Prepare banquet event packets, operational documents, reports, and other departmental materials.
  • Ensure all department records remain organized, accurate, and audit-ready.
Culinary Team Support
  • Prepare daily operational packets including menus, prep lists, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain current menus, recipes, and production materials across all culinary locations.
  • Coordinate updates to culinary documentation and operational resources.
  • Support onboarding and daily administrative needs of chefs and culinary supervisors.
Food Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain food safety documentation and temperature logs for all culinary locations.
  • Monitor sanitation documentation and assist leadership with compliance reporting.
  • Ensure required operational records are completed, filed, and maintained.
  • Support HACCP initiatives and departmental food safety programs.
Organization & Operational Readiness
  • Maintain culinary office organization and visual management systems.
  • Coordinate kitchen labeling, signage, and operational materials.
  • Manage inventory and replenishment of office and first aid supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining organized workspaces that support efficient daily operations.
Communication
  • Coordinate departmental communications on behalf of culinary leadership.
  • Prepare professional correspondence, reports, and operational updates.
  • Ensure timely communication between culinary leadership and support teams.
  • Assist with internal communications and departmental engagement initiatives
