Job description

Job Title: Sales Support Manager

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3- 5 years progressive experience serving in a Sales Support role.
  • Minimum 1-2 year experience managing a team of 5-10 people.
  • Knowledge of food services, food manufacturing industry and best practices preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to analyze goals, interpret needs, and support requests from multiple Sales teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cross-functionally as needed.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great organizational skills and comfortable managing internal and external customer communications.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Proficient knowledge of Office 365 apps, particularly Excel.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies process improvements to reduce errors and minimize business risks
  • Partners with the Sales, Logistics, Planning, QA, Business Operations, HR, Accounting, and Culinary teams to meet and streamline coordination process
  • Manages process to set up and maintain pricing contracts
  • Updates, maintains, and reviews price lists based on established pricing structures in various customer platforms
  • Maintains and manages Customer Classifications, Price Groups, Pricing/R&D Requests and other Sales-related processes in CRM/ERP systems
  • Monitors competitors' activities and recommends changes in product offerings or pricing to respond to competition
  • Provides customer sales reports, sales forecasts, and budgets for assigned sales channels
  • Prepares reports on sales KPI's and progress toward goals for sales account managers, which may include gathering data from multiple sources such as customer records, ordering patterns and/or marketing campaigns
  • Generates ad hoc reports for management review as requested
  • Attends assigned quarterly and yearly sales meetings
  • Provides overall escalation support when needed to the Sales Support team for issues that require operational improvements from other teams
  • Manages the team's schedule to ensure that they are meeting their daily and weekly goals
  • Ensures the team stays compliant with company policies and procedures
  • Establishes sales-related goals and quotas for team members, providing training in established SOP's, and regularly reviewing Sales Support's team performance to identify trends and potential improvements and efficiencies in deliverables
