We are seeking a well rounded Construction Accounts Payable Specialist to play a key role within our Accounting department at MJ Daly, LLC! This role is responsible for maintaining the accounts payable functions under the direction of the Controller. Position is based in Waterbury, CT.
Essential Duties:
  • Perform accounts payable functions under the direction of the Controller.
  • Serve as liaison between the accounting division and project managers to ensure invoice integrity.
  • Enter invoices into accounting software (Sage Paperless).
  • Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
  • CT Sales Tax knowledge required
  • 5+ years of experience in CT accounting and administration. Experience in construction accounting is highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Experience using Timberline project financial software or similar software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
