The Role + Purpose:

An Associate Merchant is responsible for helping to manage the execution of seasonal assortments, acting as point person for cross-functional business partners in production, marketing, design, allocation, and planning. They help to drive strategy for the categories they are managing.

  • Build an on-trend Omni assortment with channel-specific strategies in mind

  • Initiate market/competitor analysis and always be on top of industry trends

  • Communicate changes to all cross-functional partners - planning, production, design and wholesale

  • Participate in store visits

  • Prepare and analyze Omni selling recaps to drive your business. Make recommendations on how to optimize current sales and affect future plans

  • Partner with planning in pre-season to plan and buy your department based on comprehensive analysis of the business - last year results, current business, etc

  • Participate in inventory management and control with planning and distribution teams

  • Participate with pricing and profit strategies - make promotional and markdown suggestions to drive profitable gross margin results

  • Review new receipts against business trend to maximize sales and stock

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' Merchandising experience

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Demonstrated analytical and business skills

  • Strong presentation skills

Salary Range: $64,200.00 - $79,600.00
