Position Summary

This position is responsible for scheduling PSA Airlines routes. The Crew Planner must ensure that they are efficiently using the crew members within the limitations of the Federal Air Regulations, labor work rules and company policies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with AA Network Planning to build future crewmember schedules for better utilization and efficiency in hotel, transportation and per diem costs.
  • Connect with PSA Operations teams to track schedule metrics when reviewing various stages of the Airline schedules.
  • Provide software files for monthly schedules to the Manager of Dispatch.
  • Load Crew Trac and FLICA with next month schedules.
  • Participate with Union groups to construct flight pairing schedules to cover the operation efficiently.
  • Meet with Union groups to review monthly line schedules for crewmember bidding.
  • Load crewmembers bid packages, retrieve bids, and process line awards with Crew Planning team.
  • Collaborate with the Training department to obtain class schedules and attendees.
  • Load and process training bid for Pilots.
  • Provide the Training department with bid results.
  • Coordinate with Manpower Planning to track crewmember seniority and status for current and projected timelines to assess supportability.
  • Gather information from Workday, Training and IOE to determine crewmember bidding eligibility based on qualification and leave status.
  • Update all Crew Planning systems with new hire crewmembers and any status changes.
  • Determine crewmember accrual weeks with Crew Pay and create annual vacation bids.
  • Track and adjust changes monthly.
  • Post vacancy bid announcements, process awards, and update domicile changes for crewmembers.
  • Complete monthly reports to track various results.
  • Respond to department emails and phone calls.
  • Attend crewmember new hire class and present how to guides and contact information.
  • Assist in the management of scheduled crew hotels.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years in Crew Scheduling/Planning or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English. 
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.  

Preferred

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in aviation industry.
  • Previous experience in Crew Scheduling/Planning.
  • Previous experience using S3RUS and IBS-PBS software.

Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Crew Planning.

Authorities: None

Supervisory Responsibility:  This is not a supervisory position.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.
