We are currently seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to lead the design and execution of high-quality marketing and communications materials that support the firmโ€™s brand and business goals.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative creative partner who is comfortable working with senior stakeholders and brings a strong understanding of branding within a law firm or professional services setting.

This position can be based in Charleston, WV; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; Louisville, KY; or Pittsburgh, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, layout, production and control of a diverse range of marketing materials for print and digital media, ensuring alignment with the firmโ€™s strategic vision.
  • Serve as a strategic creative partner to attorneys, marketing, and business development professionals, translating objectives into compelling visual communications.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of the firmโ€™s brand across all internal and external communications, proactively identifying opportunities to evolve and strengthen brand standards.
  • Review, refine, and elevate design work produced by junior designers or external vendors, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Creative Manager to develop and maintain templates that uphold the firmโ€™s brand standards across all marketing and stationery materials.
  • Execute firm-wide advertising plans at the guidance of department leaders, contributing to the firmโ€™s market presence and outreach.
  • Partner with the Senior Creative Manager to cultivate vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and secure favorable agreements that benefit the firm.
  • Originate and refine design concepts for print collateral such as flyers, newsletters, and signage, showcasing creative expertise and adherence to the firmโ€™s quality standards.
  • Engage with the team to brainstorm and implement innovative design solutions that enhance the firmโ€™s branding across print and web platforms.
  • Maintain relationships with firm approved photographers, ensure quality control of final images, identify new photographers when needed and coordinate photo shoots as needed.
  • Coordinate the organization, maintenance, and archival of marketing materials; oversee the submission process for State Bar advertisements; and assist with selection and management of printing and production vendors.
  • Stay current with design trends and best practices, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance the firmโ€™s visual communications.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; advanced design training or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of design experience; law firm or professional services experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience working with Canva and video platforms preferred.
  • Experience working in a Mac based environment and using relevant design software.
  • Copywriting experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work well individually, as well as collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop ideas through independent and group brainstorming sessions.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while effectively maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to proofread typed material for grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors.
  • Understanding of the law firm or professional services environment, including the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and responsiveness.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and follow direction in a fast paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and accountability.
