As of Jun 15, 2026, the average yearly pay for coworking in the United States is $58,937.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $47,000.00 and $67,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Coworking Space Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Coworking Space Manager, you need strong organizational abilities, facility management experience, and a background in business administration or hospitality. Familiarity with coworking management software, CRM tools, and digital booking systems is typically required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and customer service orientation help you foster a positive community atmosphere and handle diverse member needs. These skills are crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, member satisfaction, and the overall success of the coworking space.

How does working in a coworking space impact daily collaboration and networking opportunities compared to a traditional office environment?

Working in a coworking space typically offers more frequent opportunities for collaboration and networking with professionals from diverse industries, as opposed to the more homogeneous environment of a traditional office. Many coworking spaces host regular events, workshops, and informal gatherings designed to foster connections. Job seekers can expect a dynamic atmosphere where cross-team collaboration is encouraged and where it's common to exchange ideas with freelancers, startups, and small businesses. This environment can help you build a broader professional network and potentially open doors to new projects and career opportunities, but it also requires proactive communication and adaptability.

What is coworking?

Coworking refers to a shared workspace environment where individuals from different companies, freelancers, and remote workers can work independently or collaboratively. These spaces typically offer amenities like high-speed internet, meeting rooms, and communal areas to foster networking and productivity. Coworking has become popular for those seeking flexibility, community, and cost-effective alternatives to traditional office leases. Members often benefit from social interaction, professional events, and opportunities to collaborate with others across various industries.

Who are we?

25N Coworking was created to usher in the changing work landscape. We are a fast-moving, rapidly growing organization that specializes in hospitality-forward coworking spaces and

best-in-class workspace design. We are pioneers in the flex workspace industry, and are powered by the dynamic, forward-thinking, and community-oriented team members that are the face of our company. Together, we're changing the way we work.

Schedule + Availability:

This full-time role works about 40 hours per week. Working hours will fall during the day Monday-Friday. Some exceptions will apply for occasional evening and weekend events, with the ability to flex time to accommodate meeting and event schedule needs.

Your daily objective:

As our Coworking Porter, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our space, and generally ensuring common areas are kept tidy and well-maintained. We also host many meetings and events in our space, that you'll have facilities oversight for, which includes setting up and breaking down event spaces, moving furniture, equipment, and supplies, ensuring the venue is prepared for events by arranging tables, chairs, stages, and decorations, often requiring physical labor like lifting heavy items, all while maintaining a clean and organized environment and providing customer service to members and guests; essentially working behind the scenes to facilitate our coworking, meeting and event business. Some specifics of the day-to-day responsibilities include:

Member + Event General Support:

  • Responding to event-related requests and addressing minor issues
  • Greeting visitors and providing general guidance within the space
  • Assisting with guest flow and directing attendees
  • Responding to member and guest requests and concerns related to the facilities and services
  • Open + close the space when needed, and related responsibilities

Event setup:

  • Moving and arranging tables, chairs, stages, and other event furniture
  • Setting up audio-visual equipment
  • Hanging signs and decorations
  • Preparing catering areas
  • Set up coffee/water stations with beverages, cups and related supplies

Event breakdown:

  • Disassembling event setups
  • Removing and storing furniture and equipment
  • Cleaning up + re-staging the rooms until their next event

Handy-Person:

  • Minor repairs like paint touch-ups, replacing light bulbs, adjusting drawer or door hinges, repairing table legs or chairs, changing water filters, hanging pictures, etc.
  • Maintaining and restocking kitchen, meeting room, copy room, bathroom or other supplies
  • Inspecting for potential maintenance issues and reporting them to the appropriate personnel

Cleaning & Ensuring a Magazine-Ready Space:

  • Vacuum or sweep floors
  • Emptying trash cans and recycling bins
  • Wiping down furniture and surfaces
  • Loading/emptying the dishwasher and hand-washing dishes when needed
  • Cleaning and tidying the bathroom
  • Spot cleaning as needed

What we're looking for:

  • Physical ability: Able to perform repetitive and/or physical tasks, like moving tables and chairs, lifting heavy objects, standing/walking for extended periods (specifics below).
  • Basic Handy-person skills: Ability to operate basic mechanical equipment, maintenance skills and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Attention to detail: Ensure specific cleanliness and organizational standards, and ensuring event setups are precise and on brand.
  • Teamwork: Collaborating with other 25N staff to maintain Magazine-Readiness of the space and execute event setups efficiently.
  • Flexibility + Independence: Adapting to changing space and event requirements, paired with ability to facilitate meeting schedules and overall workspace needs.
  • Customer service skills: Responding to member and guest needs and providing assistance with a positive attitude

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (these are essential for this role, but let us know if you have questions or have an accommodation request):

  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Move furniture, equipment, etc. up to 100 lbs with assistance. For example, move a desk with the help of a dolly and/or a co-worker.
  • Ascend and descend ladders and stairs.
  • Regularly access low/high spaces that may be at irregular angles, such as under a desk or high shelves.
  • Operate computer and office equipment, including coffee maker, water filters/machines, laptop, mouse, copy machine, meeting room equipment and similar.
  • Be standing and walking for most of the day with 2-3 breaks per day.
  • Maintain concentration and focus in a busy environment where people are coming and going.
  • Work in loud, chaotic environments and/or in crowds during community events.

Pay + Benefits:

  • Hourly pay rate, about $20 per hour.
  • Healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, short & long term disability, and life insurance
  • Paid Vacation Time
  • 5 paid sick days per year
  • 11 paid holidays per year
  • 2 days of paid volunteer time per year
  • $1,000 annual stipend for ongoing training, wellness, and education, after 6 months of service
  • Gorgeous, expertly-designed workspace with access to 25N Coworking's stunning amenities
  • A team culture of support and inclusivity.
  • Bottomless fresh-roasted coffee, tea, and filtered water to power your workday.
  • Loads of 25N-branded swag, like free water bottles, t-shirts, and stickers
