Can you make $500,000 a year in sales?

Counter sales positions typically do not generate such high annual earnings, as most sales roles in retail or wholesale environments have commission structures that limit income. Achieving $500,000 in sales revenue annually may be possible for top-performing salespeople with high-value clients or in specialized industries, but it is uncommon for standard counter sales roles. Success depends on sales volume, commission rates, and industry sector.
