Job description

Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support accounting, administrative, and front-office functions. This position will primarily focus on Accounts Payable while also providing receptionist, clerical, and administrative support. In the future, this role will expand to support the Customer Service Department, making manufacturing industry experience a strong advantage.

  • Process accounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, vendor statement reconciliation, and payment processing.
  • Prepare and process checks and ACH payments.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors professionally.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing correspondence.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections and customer payment follow-up.
  • Process daily shipment paperwork and customer invoices.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Support company meetings, events, and office functions.
  • Assist with special projects using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Provide administrative support to accounting, customer service, and human resources as needed.
QualificationsRequired:
  • Minimum of3 years of Accounts Payable experience(required, no exceptions).
  • Minimum of3 years of administrative or office support experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory, and customer service processes.
