Job description

Coho Technology Solutions is seeking a skilled Plumber to support facility maintenance and repair operations at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. The ideal candidate will perform installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures in commercial and industrial environments while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems and related equipment.
  • Replace and repair toilets, shower heads, faucets, water heaters, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Install and repair water, sewage, oil, gas, and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and assemble piping and plumbing components.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks, stoppages, and damaged plumbing systems.
  • Perform inspections and testing of piping systems following repairs or installations.
  • Estimate material requirements including pipe, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and service records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Support maintenance operations aboard facilities and other assigned locations as needed.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education & Certifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience preferred
  • Required Skill and Competencies
    • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and repair techniques
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently
    • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
    • Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and safety standards
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Work Environment
    • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
    • Position may require lifting, climbing, bending, and prolonged standing
