Job description

Calyx Living is actively seeking an energetic Cook for our BRAND NEW assisted living community, Calyx Living of Apex! We are located in beautiful Apex just off I-540 at Hwy 64.

Calyx is looking to hire NOW Cooks who are enthusiastic about working with a small crew in our kitchen, impacting the lives of seniors by preparing and presenting food. The ideal candidate would be a self- starter with past experience cooking and preparing meals in a senior living setting.

Qualifications:

  • Cooking experience a must
  • Must be able to follow recipes and plate food in an attractive manner
  • Must be able to understand and comply with state regulations established for food service
  • Must be able to prepare, organize and handle minimal special requests of senior residents
  • Must be able to interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
  • Must be quick and efficient during peak meal service times
  • Must be available to work weekends
