\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA) is comprised of 2,400 men and women working collectively and in partnership with community-based organizations to serve the needs of the community. Services are provided through four departments: Administration and Finance, Adult and Aging Services, Children and Family Services, and Workforce and Benefits Administration. Candidate must be open to change and adapt quickly to changes and new approaches within the work environment. \r\n Demonstrated expertise as a self-starter with strong leadership skills and a demonstrated willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions or direction. \r\n Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups. \r\n Outstanding analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to think logically and arrive at sound conclusions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EITHER I \r\nEducation: \r\nPossession of a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, social welfare, social/human services, sociology or other behavioral science. \r\nAND \r\nExperience: \r\nThe equivalent of two (2) years of fulltime experience as a Social Worker in a human/social services agency, including one (1) year of full-time experience equivalent in level of responsibility to that of the class of Social Worker III in the Alameda County classified service. \r\nOR II \r\nEducation: \r\nPossession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, social welfare, social/human services, sociology, or other behavioral science. \r\nAND \r\nExperience: \r\nThe equivalent of four (4) years of fulltime experience as a Supervising Eligibility Technician or Employment Counselor Supervisor in a human/social services agency. \r\nOR III \r\nExperience: \r\nThe equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in the classification of Social Worker III or higher-level social worker in the Alameda County classified service. \r\nLicense: \r\nPossession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license is required.\r\n\r\nNOTE:The Civil Service Commission may modify the above Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination.\r\n

EXAMINATION COMPONENTS

Those candidates who possess the minimum requirements for the class will move on to the next step in the testing process; \r\n2. An oral examination which will be weighted as 100% of the candidate's final examination score.
