Job description

Position Title: Project Controls Manager
This role is pivotal in overseeing project finances for a significant educational district, collaborating closely with various construction partners. The Project Controls Manager will ensure that all financial aspects of construction projects align with budgetary constraints and educational goals. The position demands a high level of expertise in project controls, particularly within K-12 and K-14 environments in California. This role involves navigating complex challenges and requires effective communication to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to the successful delivery of both retrofit and new build projects, making a meaningful impact on the educational infrastructure.
Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 / Year DOE
Project Controls Manager Responsibilities:
  • Conduct project cost analysis to ensure financial accountability
  • Perform project schedule analysis to track progress and identify delays
  • Execute project risk analysis to mitigate potential issues
  • Manage interdepartmental collaboration and communication
  • Review project budgets against management expectations
  • Provide insights on available funds for the school district
  • Address inquiries regarding financial processes

Project Controls Manager Requirements:
  • 10 years of project controls experience with at least 3+ years in California K-14 or K-12 education
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, construction management, or engineering
