Controller — Royce Global

East Rutherford, NJ

Royce Global, a family owned chemical company seeks an experienced hands-on Controller within a small office environment to lead our accounting team.

What you'll do

  • Perform daily accounting functions in our ERP system across two companies, driving toward an accurate and timely monthly close
  • Record month-end journal entries and prepare financial reports
  • Analyze and monitor all balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions and manage cash reporting
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for bank review
  • Handle quarterly Sales & Use, VAT, and Excise tax filings
  • Evaluate contracts and support financial analysis and business operations
  • Oversee AP, collections, and payroll (with related accounting entries)
  • Manage HR functions: benefits, PTO tracking, Section 125, COBRA, and the annual review of employee benefits and corporate insurance

What we are looking for in a candidate

  • Bachelor's in Accounting
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a Controller role
  • HR/payroll experience: payroll, PTO, health benefits, Section 125, COBRA
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to juggle priorities in a small-company environment
  • NetSuite and import/export experience a plus
