Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead our construction projects in Bakersfield, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. As a key driver of project success, you will coordinate with teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and site coordination will be instrumental in achieving project milestones and exceeding client expectations.

Duties

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management tools to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to review blueprints, schematics, and contracts for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Manage project budgets estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for real-time project tracking, documentation, and communication.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Review contracts and change orders to ensure scope alignment and contractual obligations are met.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project documentation including reports, logs, incident reports, and progress updates.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in commercial construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong understanding of contracts management within the construction industry.
  • Prior experience working with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, or Primavera is highly desirable.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams including subcontractors, clients, engineers, and vendors.
