Job description

Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Location: Princeton, NJ (NJ/NY locals preferred)
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our team in Princeton, NJ on a 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will have solid experience designing user-centered web and mobile applications and a strong grasp of human-centric design principles. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business goals into intuitive, elegant, and user-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Design intuitive and engaging UI for web and mobile applications with a strong focus on usability and accessibility.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to implement user-centric design solutions.
  • Continuously refine designs based on user feedback, business needs, and analytics.
  • Maintain consistency in visual language through design systems, style guides, and best practices.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and industry developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Solid understanding of human-centric design, UX best practices, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing.
  • Familiarity with front-end basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of design thinking methodologies.
  • Prior experience designing enterprise or SaaS applications.
  • Exposure to front-end frameworks like React is a plus.
