Employee Relations Director

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interpret and ensure consistent application of CommuniCare policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and oversight on corrective actions to ensure fairness, consistency, and legal compliance
  • Review and approve employee terminations to ensure appropriate process, documentation, and policy adherence
  • Assist in conducting complex or high level investigations related to employee complaints, misconduct, and workplace conflict
  • Receive and address escalated employee concerns and complaints, ensuring follow through and resolution
  • Review and approve rehire and employee transfer requests in alignment with CommuniCare policies and operations needs
  • Partner and maintain strong communication with leadership, offering expertise and support on employee relations matters
  • Conduct training and coaching on employee relations processes, policies, documentation expectations, and HR best practices
  • Identify trends and recommend proactive strategies to reduce turnover, minimize risk, and improve employee satisfaction
  • Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance and regulatory requirement

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations
  • Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations issues, investigations, and dispute resolution
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with confidentiality the professionalism
  • Experience working in a multi-state/locations, complex business environment preferred
  • Strong organizational and decision making abilities
