We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our surgical services team. The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and assisting throughout a variety of complex surgical cases. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in multiple surgical specialties and excel in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Assignment Details
  • Position: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Variable Shifts
  • Shift Start Times: Between 6:45 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Contract: Travel Assignment
  • Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
  • On-Call: Required
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and sterile.
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards throughout each procedure.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies efficiently.
  • Perform surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist with patient positioning, surgical site preparation, and room turnover between cases.
  • Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA (Required)
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols
Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following specialties are highly preferred:

  • Vascular Surgery
  • Transplant Surgery
  • Ophthalmology
  • Spine Surgery
  • Robotic Surgery
  • Cardiac Surgery

CST licensure (NBSTSA) - BLS (AHA) - HS Diploma, GED or equivalent - 5 years of experience - Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, cardiac is ideal
