Job description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist โ€“ Estes Park, CO
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Mondayโ€“Thursday, 10-hour shifts | On-Call Bonus Available (Minimum 10 days/month)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support our surgical team. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a sterile environment while anticipating the needs of the surgeon.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.

  • Set up and break down the OR while adhering to sterile techniques.

  • Assist surgeons during operations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Process instruments and maintain sterilization logs.

  • Participate in GI procedures and inventory management of surgical supplies.

  • Follow AORN Standards and actively engage in the Time Out Process.

  • Update and utilize surgical preference cards.

  • Perform sponge and instrument counts accurately.

  • Label all medications on the sterile field.

  • Participate in committees and follow EPH policies, local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Take on-call shifts as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completed ORT or Surgical Technologist Certification Program.

  • Minimum 3 years of surgical technologist experience.

  • High proficiency in at least 3 surgical service lines.

  • Current Colorado license (or multistate license) and BLS/ACLS certifications required.

Bonus Structure:

  • Shifts 1โ€“7: No bonus

  • Shifts 8โ€“10: $100 weekday / $200 weekend bonus

  • Shifts beyond 10: $150 weekday / $250 weekend bonus
