Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – CVOR

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a busy Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. In this role, you will assist surgeons during a variety of complex cardiovascular procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the surgical team has the instruments and supplies needed for successful patient outcomes.

Schedule
  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Travel contract assignment
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room for cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and specialty supplies for each procedure.
  • Scrub and assist surgeons during open heart and vascular procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining an organized sterile field.
  • Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and sterile processing standards.
  • Assist with patient positioning, room turnover, and preparation for subsequent cases.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other OR staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience required.
  • Experience scrubbing open heart and complex cardiovascular procedures preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Previous travel experience is a plus but not required.
