Job description

GeniePro Healthcare Inc is seeking a local contract Surgical Technician for a local contract job in Saranac Lake, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

Surg Tech 

75-mile radius rule 

Will accept locals - local rate will apply 

Shift: varying shift, Mon-Fri 

10 hour days 

40 hours a week 

Must be certified 

1 year experience required 

Need people with broad experience and especially vascular because they will be taking call and need to scrub for those procedures as well. 

Must have ortho experience 

Operating room surgical technician is an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team.

 The surgical technician acts as a scrub person, prepares and handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during a surgical procedure. 

He/She has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of thesurgeon. 

He/She works collaboratively with other team members to assure quality patient care during the operative procedure. 

The surgical technician functions under the supervision of a registered nurse. 

Participates in the oncall schedule for afterhours urgent/ emergent surgical cases, unless otherwise indicated.
