Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical Services, OR Tech / Surgical Tech to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterilized.
  • Support surgical teams during operations by providing instruments and necessary supplies promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor the sterile field and maintain aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during surgical procedures.
  • Manage and restock surgical supplies, ensuring sufficient inventory for upcoming procedures and emergency cases.
  • Perform post-operative tasks such as cleaning and organizing the operating room and instruments for the next use.
  • Float to general surgery when cardiac cases are not scheduled, offering assistance where required in the department.
Qualifications
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with aseptic techniques, case cart management, and experience in cardiac and vascular surgeries.
  • Experience in handling crash carts and XI Robotics for complex surgeries preferred.
  • Must have a DC license or equivalent licensure in hand.
  • Completion of at least one prior travel assignment is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures including ortho, neuro, urology, and transplant surgery.
