PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning and Building an Enterprise Power BI Environment.

1. Environment Planning and Design: 

  • Architecting a scalable and secure Power BI environment that integrates seamlessly with the organization’s existing data ecosystem, including on-premises databases and Snowflake. 

2. Configuration and Setup: 

  • Configuring the Power BI Service to enable enterprise-wide collaboration, sharing, and governance. 
  • Implementing and configuring Power BI Gateway to establish secure connections to on-premises data sources and Snowflake. 

3. Governance and Security Framework: 

  • Assist in defining governance policies for user roles, permissions, and data access. 

4. Optimization and Monitoring:

  • Developing processes to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the Power BI environment for reliability and performance. 
  • Ensuring scalability to meet future organizational needs. 



QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Power BI Expertise: 

  • Extensive experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Gateway in enterprise environments. 
  • Ability to connect Power BI to on-premises databases and cloud platforms like Snowflake. 

2. Enterprise Architecture Experience: 

  • Proven track record of designing scalable and secure architectures for analytics platforms. 

3. Governance and Security Knowledge:
