Your Impact

As the Space & Defense Systems (SDS) Manager - Business Execution & Engineering Operations, you will lead the successful execution of ABB's Space & Defense Systems business, ensuring the delivery of complex customer programs and mission-critical solutions for government and strategic commercial customers.

Reporting to the Head of Global Product Management & Marketing, you will provide leadership across engineering execution, program delivery, contract operations, systems integration, supply chain coordination, quality, deployment, and lifecycle support. You will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, compliance, and long-term business growth while building a high-performing organization focused on mission success.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the operational and financial performance of ABB's Space & Defense Systems portfolio.

  • Ensure safe, compliant, on-time, and on-budget execution of complex customer programs and contracts.

  • Drive engineering execution, program governance, risk management, and operational excellence across the business.

  • Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to support strategic growth opportunities and customer engagements.

  • Build and develop a high-performing organization that delivers exceptional customer outcomes and sustainable business results.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience within Space, Defense, Government Technology, National Security, or another highly regulated industry.

  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering execution, program management, or contract delivery organizations with accountability for business performance.

  • Strong knowledge of program governance, risk management, systems integration, and customer delivery in complex technical environments.

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage executive stakeholders, strategic partners, and customers.
