Non-Clinical Security Consultant (Contract)

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid โ€“ 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Schedule: Monday โ€“ Friday | 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $38.46/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Non-Clinical Security Consultant to support a centralized Emergency Operations and Administrative Services team within a large healthcare organization. This role provides operational, strategic, and advisory support for security services, emergency management, business continuity, and enterprise risk initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting emergency management, healthcare security, safety, business continuity, or operational resilience programs. This position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, support security-related projects, enhance service delivery, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation on security, emergency management, and operational best practices.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of security services, emergency management, business continuity, and risk management initiatives.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and organizational resilience.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
  • Track project milestones, identify risks or roadblocks, and provide recommendations to support successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to understand operational needs and implement shared solutions.
  • Support initiatives involving process automation, digital transformation, and performance measurement.
  • Prepare reports, maintain project documentation, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide training support and knowledge transfer to promote continuous improvement across supported teams.
  • Assist with program planning while considering project budgets and organizational priorities.
  • Ensure all activities align with applicable policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, Healthcare Administration, Business, Security Management, or a related field OR
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting healthcare security, safety, emergency management, business continuity, operational resilience, or related programs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Experience supporting projects, operational initiatives, or process improvement efforts.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while working in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience within a healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of emergency management principles, business continuity, security operations, or enterprise risk management.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Project management experience or certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Professional certifications related to emergency management, healthcare security, safety, or business continuity.
