What is contract lifecycle management?

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) refers to the process of managing contracts from their initial creation and negotiation through execution, compliance, renewal, and eventual expiration. It involves streamlining and automating each stage of a contract's life to reduce risks, improve compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. CLM is used by organizations to ensure that contractual agreements are properly managed, tracked, and analyzed throughout their entire duration. Effective CLM helps companies avoid missed deadlines, ensure regulatory compliance, and create stronger business relationships.

Join Corning and play a key role in building scalable, compliant, and business

focused contract lifecycle solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen governance,

and deliver measurable value across the enterprise.

Role Purpose

As an Enterprise Solution Architect focused on Contract Lifecycle Management

(CLM), you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Corning's

CLM ecosystem. You will work closely with business and technology teams to create

seamless, secure, and scalable solutions across the full contract lifecycle from

request and authoring to approval, signature, renewals, and reporting. This role is

ideal for someone who combines strong technical architecture expertise with business

partnership, platform leadership, and a passion for driving adoption and operational

excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end CLM solution architecture across the full contract lifecycle

intake, authoring, negotiation, approval workflows, e-signature, obligation

management, renewals, and reporting.

  • Define and enforce architectural standards anchored in a "configure, not

customize" philosophy that keeps future waves fast.

  • Design and own integration architecture across CLM, ERP, sourcing,

identity/SSO, e-signature (Docusign), and downstream reporting systems.

  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Sales, Finance, and IT to translate legal and

business requirements into scalable, auditable technical designs.

  • Lead the data and metadata strategy that powers reliable reporting and analytics,

accounting for global data residency and regulatory requirements.

  • Deliver the near-term roadmap: NDA and Contract Request MVP, NDA migration

from Ariba to Icertis, SSO and Docusign integrations, and harmonization of sell

side templates.

  • Govern a high-quality migration of ~30,000 legacy contracts, including validation

and reconciliation, and steer the transition from implementation to steady-state

operations.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in solution architecture roles
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise Contract Lifecycle

Management (CLM) platforms

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS solution architecture with a configuration-first mindset
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications such as ERP, Salesforce, Microsoft

365, e-signature, or identity platforms

  • Experience working in regulated or change controlled environments with strong

attention to security, auditability, and compliance

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to

explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
