Job description

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a bilingual Housing Specialist to support U.S. diplomatic residential housing operations on a Department of State contract working overseas in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully source properties, and be responsible for lease negotiations, landlord engagements, inspection coordination, and ongoing housing management services.
Responsibilities
  • Provide turnkey furnished residential housing services to U.S. diplomatic posts
  • Source apartments, town homes, and detached residences
  • Negotiate lease agreements and landlord obligations
  • Coordinate security, safety, and facility inspections
  • Manage housing-related documentation and reporting
  • Coordinate maintenance and landlord response activities
  • Monitor lease compliance and property conditions
  • Facilitate move-in and move-out processes
  • Maintain strong relationships with local landlords and property managers

Basic Qualifications
  • Residing in or around Guatemala City
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience in residential real estate transactions
  • Knowledge of the Guatemala City rental market
  • Experience supporting embassy, diplomatic, expatriate, relocation, or corporate housing programs
  • Familiarity with furnished housing, lease administration, and vendor management
  • Experience coordinating property inspections, maintenance activities, and landlord negotiations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

Desired Qualifications:
  • Licensed Real Estate Agent, Property Manager, or equivalent credential
