POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Epic Willow Inpatient Analyst to join our Healthcare
IT team. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for inpatient pharmacy application
workflows and configurations, supporting the delivery of high-quality Epic EHR solutions in a
dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will bring 4+ years of experience in
Epic application management, with a strong track record in day-to-day operations, client
stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional and offshore teams.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) for Epic Willow Inpatient application
workflows and configurations.
Manage and prioritize daily support and maintenance activities, ensuring timely
resolution of incidents and service requests per defined SLAs.
Monitor and manage error queues, label and printer issues, and pharmacy automation
interfaces.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with dispensing cabinet/robot interfaces, including ID
mapping, and perform root cause analysis on application issues.
Build and maintain inpatient pharmacy configurations within the Epic EHR environment,
including medication order sets, formulary setup, dose checking rules, NDC billing
builds, pharmacy charge maps, and 340b billing workflows.
Develop and maintain BPA/OPA alert builds to support clinical decision-making, manage
medication loads (Medispan), and support medication build activities (IV mixtures,
compounding, and repackaging).
Serve as a liaison with client stakeholders (hospital pharmacists, pharmacy operations,
nurses, and physicians) and coordinate activities across Accenture, software vendors, and
offshore support teams.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation (workflows, build specifications, testing
protocols) and ensure compliance with HIPAA, data governance, and medication safety
standards.
