Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for negotiating industry leading agreements for the Medical Device Management (“MDM”) Team in the area of physician preference items. Objective is to ensure best in class contract terms and conditions. This individual will assist the MDM Team with the implementation of vendor agreements in the custom contracting area. He/she will be responsible for working with Contract Director(s) to oversee finalization of contract documents and amendments. In addition, he/she will assist in facilitating the custom contract process. This individual will also play a key role in negotiating terms and conditions of pricing agreements for (i) new HealthTrust members during onboarding process; and (ii) established HealthTrust member.

Responsibilities

  • Member and Supplier facing point of contact for the development, coordination, and negotiation of agreements, including contract terms, for MDM engagements and implementation of new HealthTrust members.
  • Review and further negotiate pricing agreements and amendments received by Contract Administration for execution.
  • Create and maintain Contract Specialist Team’s project tracking tool(s) for MDM client engagements and agreements/amendments received for review from Contract Administration.
  • Interface with HealthTrust Legal. Evaluate and determine appropriateness of contract terms and conditions. Identify and correct contract discrepancies.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for Contract Specialist Team to reflect completed work.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Team.
  • Work with Director and Contract Specialist(s) to coordinate contracting strategies for new HealthTrust members – determine appropriate grouping of agreements; negotiate terms and conditions of agreements; liaison with implementation team; keep implementation tracker up-to-date with status of negotiations and attend weekly update meetings.
  • Assist Director in training Contract Specialist(s).

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required.
  • 5+ years’ of related experience.
  • Experience in medical device contracting, preferred.
