Job Summary 

 The Contract Manager supports the administration and execution of contracts overseeing the full lifecycle of contracts for the organization. The day-to-day work includes drafting, reviewing, negotiating, executing, and maintaining agreements and change orders with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and business partners. This role works closely with Project Managers, Procurement, Legal and Operations to ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives while minimizing risk. This is a hands-on role focused on contract compliance, accurate documentation, project support, and claims resolution.

Essential Job Responsibilities 

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, subcontractor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, change orders, and amendments.
  • Ensure contracts comply with company standards, legal requirements, and regulatory guidelines by identifying inconsistencies, and scope gaps.
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend solutions to mitigate exposure and protect company interests.
  • Log and track negotiation status, contract milestones, renewals, expirations, deliverables, and compliance obligations.
  • Ensure proper flow down of Prime Contract requirements to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs while providing contract guidance, risk assessment, change-order support, and formal notice responses.
  • Maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and standardized processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Utilize Docusign to coordinate contract negotiation, execution, and document retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related questions and escalations.
  • Support audits, reporting, and documentation requests related to contractual agreements.
  • Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance ensuring parties fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on complex negotiations, high-risk agreements, and claims or disputes as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing contract-management policies, procedures, and best practices. 

Minimum Qualifications 

Required:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field;
  • 3-7+ years' experience in contract management, procurement, legal operations, or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology, negotiation principles, and risk-management practices;
  • Experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements and vendor contracts;
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software or ERP systems;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong internal and external relationships; and
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, energy, or industrial services industries;
  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or similar certification;
  • Experience working with government agencies, procurement, contracts, and vendors;
  • Familiarity with state and federal compliance requirements;
  • Familiarity with insurance terms, surety agreements, bonding, and regulatory standards;
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite;
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems; and
  • Prior experience supporting fast-paced, multi-state, or high-growth organizations.
