Job Description:

The Marketing Content Specialist plays a key role in producing engaging content across channels and assists in the development of campaigns that support Darwill's goals. This role is responsible for managing social media and blogs, writing short- and long-form marketing collateral content, and ensuring strong brand alignment throughout all marketing materials.

A successful candidate is a versatile writer and content creator with experience in social media strategy, content marketing, and digital best practices. They will collaborate closely with the Creative and Digital Marketing teams to execute initiatives that support brand awareness, lead generation, and client engagement. This role requires strong project management skills, a passion for staying ahead of industry trends, and the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling, easy-to-understand content.


Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Social Media Management

  • Maintains a strategic social media content calendar, including caption and post scheduling.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative team to brief on social graphics; ability to create simple designs in Adobe Express when needed.
  • Research trends and propose new strategies to support Darwill's marketing initiatives and expand brand visibility.
  • Monitor social channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with prospects and relevant industry accounts to strengthen community engagement.

Blog and Content Development

  • Generate blog topics aligned with industry trends, marketing news, and Darwill's service offerings.
  • Write clear, compelling, SEO-optimized blog content that educates and engages target audiences.
  • Optimize blogs with graphics and internal linking and manage monthly blog publishing.

Content Marketing

  • Uphold and reinforce brand standards across all internal and external content.
  • Write and edit a variety of marketing materials, including sell sheets, newsletters, pitch decks, and ad hoc requests.

Digital Marketing Content

  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices to assist the Senior Marketing Strategist in developing content for paid campaigns, landing pages, and funnel-based initiatives.
  • Eager to learn, research, and contribute new ideas for paid ads and campaign enhancements.

Additional Marketing Support

  • Assists the VP of Marketing and Senior Marketing Strategist with long- and short-term marketing planning and campaign execution.
  • Update and manage marketing resources, ensuring content accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Sales and help the Senior Marketing Strategist produce content and prepare materials for trade shows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • ย Experience creating marketing content for B2B (business-to-business) audiences.ย 
  • 3+ years' experience in an advertising and/or marketing role with a focus on content and social media strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking
  • Juggles multiple projects and tasks seamlessly, while prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Proactive, self-starter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Create and implement a coordinated content strategy across channels
  • Highly adaptive, resourceful, and results-oriented
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone across multiple industries and content types
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to create and execute plans
  • Has a passion for marketing, craves skill enhancement, and enjoys working in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Comfortable in Outlook, Microsoft, Monday.com, HubSpot, and Slack
  • Adobe Express or Canva experience is a plus
