Learning and Development Manager:

The Learning and Development Manager is a key member of the human resources team and will lead enterprise-wide learning initiatives across our growing organization. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a scalable learning and development strategy that supports compliance, operational excellence, leadership capability, and long-term value creation.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Skillsoft, strong instructional design capability, and demonstrated success building leadership development programs within dynamic, growth-oriented environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Learning Strategy & Execution

  • Design, execute, and manage a system-wide learning and development strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with the SVP โ€“ HR & EHS and executive leadership to ensure development initiatives support organizational growth and operational performance.
  • Guide the strategy for innovative learning solutions and benchmark best practices across the L&D landscape.
  • Maintain professional expertise in learning science, leadership development, and learning technology through ongoing research and development.

Leadership Development

  • Drive leadership development initiatives across all leadership levels (frontline supervisors through senior leaders).
  • Design and oversee implementation of leadership programs aligned with enterprise competency frameworks.
  • Support succession planning and talent review processes through structured development pathways.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to leaders as needed.
  • Oversee the development and tracking of individual development plans (IDPs).

Learning Systems & Technology (Skillsoft Focus)

  • Serve as primary administrator and strategic lead for Skillsoft, ensuring optimal utilization and engagement.
  • Manage learning assignments, reporting, tracking, and compliance documentation within Skillsoft.
  • Analyze learning analytics to measure effectiveness and ROI.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance digital learning adoption and user experience.

Content Development & Instructional Design

  • Develop and maintain high-quality instructional materials, including facilitator guides, e-learning modules, leadership toolkits, and blended learning programs.
  • Ensure learning content reflects adult learning principles and current learning science.
  • Create scalable training content to support onboarding, supervisor development, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate and improve existing learning content for impact and effectiveness.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong instructional design experience with the ability to develop original learning content.
  • Experience building leadership development programs across multiple leadership levels.
  • Experience in manufacturing, operations, or multi-site environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret learning metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong cultural competence and sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively in diverse international environments.
  • Ability to travel as required to various company locations.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; Masterโ€™s degree preferred (HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development or Organizational Development.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and optimizing Skillsoft (required) or comparable enterprise LMS platforms.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
