Position Summary...Join Walmart as a Senior Director, Business Development and be responsible for shaping and executing the Vizio Watch Free+ content strategy across all platforms. The role includes overseeing the content budget and shaping Vizio Watch Free+ content strategy for FAST, AVOD, and Branded Content. This is a unique opportunity to drive impactful partnerships, negotiate high-value content deals, and influence the future of digital entertainment. The Senior Director will be a deal closer and point of contact for all WF+ content questions. They will build strong relationships with VIZIO’s content partners and will work closely with internal stakeholders to drive results.What you'll do...About the team:
The team leads strategic business development initiatives focused on driving growth and delivering high-quality entertainment through WatchFree+, Vizio’s free, ad-supported streaming service. They analyze market trends, develop and implement business plans, and foster strong partnerships to maximize value. Emphasizing ethical standards and operational excellence, the team supports program execution, risk mitigation, and succession planning. Collaborating across functions, they ensure alignment with business objectives while promoting continuous improvement and customer-centric solutions. This group is committed to advancing innovative strategies that enhance service offerings and sustain long-term success.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement a programming strategy that supports the organization’s vision and objectives with input from key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the acquisition, development, and scheduling of content across all platforms.
  • Maintain and manage the WatchFree+ programming budget.
  • Monitor industry trends and audience insights to inform programming decisions.
  • Ensure programming meets quality standards, regulatory requirements, and brand guidelines.
  • Manage and mentor the programming and licensing team, fostering creativity and collaboration.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for team members.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize audience engagement and ROI.
  • Drive innovation in content formats, release strategies, and platform optimization. 

What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing business strategies that drive revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to analyze business objectives, customer needs, and financial data to inform decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining high-level internal and external business relationships to support business development initiatives.
  • Proven experience in direct deal negotiations and content licensing.
  • Strong relationships with major studios and content providers.
  • Deep understanding of partnership valuation and content windowing.
  • 10+ years of experience in programming, content strategy, or media management.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering a customer-focused environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00 - $312,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
