FanDuel is seeking a Consumer Insights Manager to support strategic decision-making in its Sportsbook and Predicts businesses by identifying opportunities to drive customer growth, improve customer experiences, deepen engagement, and strengthen competitive advantages.
This role will act as an internal strategy partner that executes high-impact research projects to inform Sportsbook and Predicts initiatives. The role will also help evaluate and scale AI tools and best practices for the broader Consumer Insights team. The Manager will work closely with the Consumer Insights Senior Manager to ensure research priorities align to key company objectives and that insights are translated into clear, actionable business implications and recommendations.
Reporting to the Consumer Insights Senior Manager, this role requires strong business acumen, communication and presentation skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decision-making.
In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.
THE GAME PLAN

  • Act as a trusted thought partner with cross-functional leaders across the Sportsbook and Predicts portfolio, driving actionable insights from consumer research
  • Own end-to-end strategic initiatives to build an in-depth, portfolio-wide understanding of FanDuel customers
  • Proactively identify consumer, market, and competitive questions that inform prioritization and planning decisions
  • Translate ambiguous business objectives into structured hypothesis-driven work plans and rigorous research designs, selecting appropriate methodologies across qualitative and quantitative approaches
  • Evaluate, pilot, and scale AI tools for the Insights team, developing best practices to improve research speed, quality, and consistency
  • Size customer and market opportunities to inform prioritization and Go-To-Market approaches
  • Develop executive-ready narratives that frame customer implications, trade-offs, and recommendations to drive senior stakeholder alignment
  • Synthesize findings across custom research, internal analytics, and syndicated data to deliver clear, commercially grounded recommendations
  • Manage external partners and research vendors as needed to ensure high-quality, efficient execution of strategic insight workstreams
  • Identify opportunities to improve research processes, methodologies, and stakeholder engagement models

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate
  • 5-7 years of consumer insights / customer strategy experience in a fast-growth consumer business; OR 3+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar analytical role
  • Experience executing complex custom research projects from conceptualization through reporting
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to support research, synthesis, analysis, or insight generation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear business insights
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency in research platforms such as Qualtrics, SPSS, or similar tools
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong data viz capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in sports, gaming, or digital consumer businesses
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

The applicable salary range for this position is $103,000 - $129,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
