JOB OVERVIEW:

Blue Diamond Growers is seeking a curious, resourceful, and insights-driven Manager, Consumer Insights to support our Snack Nuts, Specialty Crackers, and Non-Dairy portfolios across North America. This role plays a key part in helping the organization stay closely connected to the consumer by leading research that informs brand building, communication development, innovation, and packaging strategy - translating data into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience across primary research and syndicated data, with a strong ability to connect consumer learning to business strategy. This role requires a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple research initiatives while partnering closely with brand, innovation, and agency teams. You will lead a range of custom and syndicated research initiatives across advertising, brand tracking, packaging, and ad-hoc research, while leveraging vendor solutions such as Ipsos Spark, Suzy, NielsenIQ, and Kantar Worldpanel.
You will report into the Senior Manager, Consumer Insights.
This role is well-suited for an insights professional who is ready to independently manage research initiatives and translate consumer understanding into actionable recommendations that drive brand and business growth. It offers the opportunity to work across multiple categories, methodologies, and cross-functional teams while shaping how the organization brings the voice of the consumer into key decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Advertising Research

  • Lead the execution of advertising research using tools such as Ipsos Spark or Millward Brown Link to support campaign development and testing.
  • Partner with brand teams and agency partners to review ad test results and deliver clear performance summaries.
  • Interpret creative testing results and translate findings into recommendations that inform communications planning and optimization.

Brand Tracking

  • Manage and analyze brand health tracking programs, partnering with vendors such as Ipsos or Millward Brown.
  • Develop quarterly or biannual tracking reports, highlighting changes in consumer perception, awareness, and purchase intent.
  • Synthesize brand imagery and equity diagnostics into insights that inform brand strategy and creative development.

DIY Survey Support

  • Lead custom research projects using DIY platforms such as Suzy, Qualtrics, or similar tools.
  • Design questionnaires, program surveys, monitor fieldwork, and conduct analysis.
  • Develop presentations that translate findings into actionable business insights.

Packaging Research

  • Lead the planning and execution of packaging design research to evaluate shelf visibility, appeal, and communication effectiveness.
  • Manage vendor collaboration with key partners (e.g., PRS IN VIVO, Behaviorally, NielsenIQ) to guide testing design and analysis.
  • Synthesize research findings and deliver recommendations that inform design direction and go-to-market decisions.

Ad-Hoc Research

  • Lead custom consumer research studies that inform brand strategy, innovation, and communication.
  • Design and manage foundational research projects, including Awareness & Usage (A&U), Consumer Segmentation, Claims Testing, Concept Screening, etc.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights to uncover key consumer learnings and strategic implications.

Market Data Integration

  • Leverage point-of-sale and panel data sources, including Circana, NielsenIQ, Numerator, and Kantar Worldpanel.
  • Integrate retail and consumer panel data with primary research to develop holistic insights and inform business decisions.

Would consider Hybrid or Remote option

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or marketing analytics, whether it be on the brand or research agency side.
  • Familiarity with core research methodologies across quantitative and qualitative approaches.
  • Experience managing external research partners, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and high-quality research execution.
  • Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Suzy, Qualtrics) and strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Curiosity for understanding human behavior and what drives consumer choice.
  • Ability to present findings clearly and effectively - from informal team discussions to agency briefings and stakeholder updates

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Master's degree (e.g., MBA or advanced degree in Marketing, Research, or a related field) is a plus, but not required.
  • Exposure to key industry vendors, such as Ipsos Spark, PRS IN VIVO, Behaviorally, Kantar, or NielsenIQ
  • Experience analyzing both survey data and syndicated data (POS/panel).
  • Comfortable creating data visualizations and building clear, compelling presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines across multiple workstreams and vendors.
