Our Client is currently seeking a Construction Materials Engineering and Testing Manager will manage projects while maintaining our high standards of services. Projects and clients will be varied, ranging from public to private, roads to structures, simple to complex. A CMET Manager will manage projects from setting up the initial inspections, coordinating technicians and field engineers for inspections, making technical recommendations for project issues, and issuing testing reports. A CMET Project Manager will work amongst a group of engineers and will mentor and manage technicians and junior engineers.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage testing for construction materials for various project types and sizes, including public and private.

  • Oversee and mentor staff engineers and technicians working within the department.
  • Manage various clients, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely delivery of high-quality reports and completion of the services within the expected budget.
  • Make technical recommendations to solve construction related issues that arise.


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, or project engineering.
  • Expert in field testing procedures for all construction materials such as: soil, concrete, hot mix asphalt, steel.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures for construction materials.
  • Management of testing programs for private and public sector projects.
