The Construction Manager provides the assistance to the planning, coordination, and direction for construction management activities on projects to ensure they are on time, budget, schedule, and meet project performance and contractual requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains project documentation to ensure accuracy of project data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project related entities. 
  • Assists in monitoring and reporting compliance with contractual requirements of contractor, architect,engineer and other team members as applicable.
  • Maintains complex project logs and tracking of relevant data and information for use by project staff and necessary entities.
  • Participates in meeting preparation, support and follow up documentation.
  • Participates in project closeout to ensure all requirements are met.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years full time experience in engineering or construction management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, writing, and computer skills are essential.
  • Superior organization and planning skills.
  • Must be able to manage the project schedule and update process while collaborating with internal and external clients.
  • Experience with justice and or correctional projects required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Extensive knowledge of construction methods, material, scheduling, and estimating preferred.
  • Knowledge of design-build and progressive design-build delivery methods preferred.
