About this Role - Construction Manager
We are looking for a talented Construction Manager who has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for working with solar project Superintendents and Customers to assure projects are coordinated efficiently. The Construction Manager will provide oversight, coordination, management support and technical expertise on solar projects.
What You'll Do
  • Participate in the pre-planning of projects. This includes drawing and specification reviews to ensure our team is set up for success.
  • Review and manage material needs for solar projects ensuring material budgets are met.
  • Developing and updating solar project processes and procedures to meet Customer needs.
  • Develop, update, and manage our solar testing procedures to ensure projects are tested to project specifications and done in a safe and timely manner.
  • Work with the project team to oversee construction activity to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with the management team to incorporate MJE standards regarding safety, scheduling, document control plan, cost codes, job cost spread, material/tooling plan, billing, etc.
  • Interface with owner/client and on-site construction crews as required to ensure project safety, quality, project schedule and other milestones are met.
  • Work with field leadership to ensure the project has adequate resources to maintain schedule, budget, and exceed safety expectations.
  • Consult with Customers regarding design requirements, job specifications, bid requirements and offer technical expertise regarding construction solutions.
  • Understand critical design requirements of on-going projects and continuously monitor construction quality to ensure compliance within established tolerances.
  • Stay current on solar construction trends and ensure Project Management personnel are informed of significant changes.
  • Travel is required.

Work Environment
  • Must be able to remain standing approximately 50% of the time.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, climbing.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
