Junior Construction Bookkeeper - U.S.-Based


Location: Lynnwood, WA 98087 

Job Type: Full-time, W2 

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year (depending on experience) 


Hedlund Painting Inc. is a full-service commercial and residential painting contractor serving the Pacific Northwest. Known for high-quality workmanship and reliable project management, the company prides itself on organization and attention to detail in every project. We are seeking a Junior Construction Bookkeeper to manage financial records, support payroll, and ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date. You will work directly with our U.S.-based team, helping maintain organized financial processes for all projects.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records for multiple projects. 
  • Enter, review, and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. 
  • Process weekly payroll entries and ensure accurate job costing. 
  • Prepare and maintain organized financial records for internal and project use. 
  • Assist in month-end reporting, job costing, and certified payroll documentation. 
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding discrepancies or missing information. 
  • Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to process improvements.


Qualifications 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience. 
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online preferred. 
  • Experience with construction accounting or job costing is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). 
  • Reliable internet connection and office workspace. 
  • Positive, proactive attitude and commitment to accuracy.
